If you are fond of forging, then this idea will definitely appeal to you. Of the basic materials you will need: a square profile pipe with sides 25x25 mm and 180 mm long, a small section of a steel sheet 2 mm thick with dimensions 90x90 mm, and also a steel bar with a diameter of 10 mm.

Work stages

First of all, it is necessary to heat a piece of steel sheet 90x90 mm to red and then use a special "chisel" and hammer to apply a texture to the surface of the workpiece - this will be the basis for the candlestick.

After that, you can start processing the profile pipe. At the top of the workpiece you need to make a slight rounding and sides. Then the middle of the pipe must be heated to red, clamped in a vise and twist clockwise.
Next, the profile pipe is welded to the base. And to give the candlestick some zest, you can add a little floral ornament, namely, make a twig with a leaf. To do this, use a round bar with a diameter of 10 mm.

First, a thin “thread” is formed from the heated preform, and then the leaf itself. Then this structural element is welded to the candlestick. Further, the finished forged product can be painted and patinated for greater aesthetics.

Application

A shod candlestick from a profile pipe will be an excellent addition to any interior, and it can also be presented for an anniversary or for another occasion. The finished product looks very stylish and expensive, but the most important thing is that it is made with your own hands.
