With this simple home-made tool made of tension rollers, you can make perfectly round hoops from steel strips, square rods, round timber and pipes. In addition to two tension rollers, for this homemade product you will need: two bearings of the 302 series, a piece of angle 40x40 mm, a steel bar and a thin-walled water pipe.

All these materials can be found without problems in a home workshop and garage or bought at a metal collection point, so the cost of manufacturing this device is low. Such a budget option for home use. How to make a universal mini-machine from tension rollers, read on.

The process of manufacturing a mini-machine

The first step is to cut the workpieces: four bushings from a thin-walled pipe 40 mm long, as well as two pieces of a steel corner 180 mm long. Still need a pipe with an inner diameter (nominal bore) of 42 mm, in which the 302nd bearing fits without problems. Additionally, knurling will need to be done on the surface of the pipe - on a lathe or using angle grinders.

In two corners, using a core drill, we drill two holes along the edges for the diameter of the bushings. The bushings themselves then need to be welded to the inside of the corners. Then we connect the two corners together, and we attach the tension rollers to the resulting structure from above, after drilling holes for the bolts.

We press two bearings into a pipe segment with an inner diameter of 42 mm - it is advisable to place a sleeve of suitable sizes between them. We fix it to the corner with the M14 bolt, and then we weld the handle-lever of the desired length. Two corners are interconnected using steel bars with washers at the end. The mini-machine made of tension rollers is ready to use!
