From a fan from a PC with a diameter of 120 mm and improvised materials, you can assemble a homemade mini orbital sander. Of course, she will not be able to compete with factory models, but it will do for small work.

It is very simple to make a mini-orbital grinding machine - even a beginner in carpentry will cope. Moreover, this will require inexpensive and affordable materials.

First of all, it will be necessary to cut from thin plywood (or you can use fiberboard) one round and one square blank. Then they will need to drill holes for the fan.

The main stages of work

At the next stage of work, it is necessary to saw four wooden slats of the same length. They must be glued to the fan housing around the perimeter. For this, the master uses superglue.

Next, a square blank of plywood or fiberboard is screwed to the fan. After that, in 2 fan blades, you need to drill holes and insert M4 bolts into them. As a result, when the blades rotate, vibration will be generated.

At the last stage, it remains only to screw the plywood disk to the fan - the grinding wheel will be mounted on it. It is also necessary to make a cover with a handle and a dust collector. Well, then you can start the homemade test.
