To facilitate the planting of seedlings of cabbage in the open ground, the author suggests using a simple adapt. You can do it yourself.
To make this device you will need a piece of a round pipe, a square bar, a spring, a plate. All these materials can be found without problems in the workshop, in the country, in the garage.
First of all, the author makes a markup and cuts a piece of a round pipe at an angle of about 30-35 degrees. The result was a receiving hopper for seedlings.
The main stages of work
At the next stage, it will be necessary to cut an oval-shaped blank from a piece of metal plate. And it must be attached to the pipe so that it can freely open and close.
To do this, the author makes a swivel of a bolt and three nuts. One nut is welded to the pipe, two to the workpiece.
Then it is necessary to weld a piece of square bar to a piece of pipe (receiving hopper). And on the plate you need to weld a piece of strip in which you need to drill holes.
Using a round bar, an oval plate on the pipe ("beak") is connected to a movable element, which is located on a square bar. The author also sets the spring.
Then it remains only to fix the handle-lever, which will open the "beak". All structural elements must be cleaned from rust.
