In this review, the author makes a kitchen knife of an unusual shape from a circular saw blade. Naturally, it is better to use the old saw blade.
The first step is to draw on paper (or can be downloaded from the Internet) the shape of the future knife.
Then we cut out the paper template and fasten it to the saw blade with the help of magnets.
We spray paint from the spray can over the surface of the disk, and then remove the template. As a result, we get clear contours along which it will be necessary to cut the workpiece.
The main stages of work
At the next stage, we fix the saw blade with a clamp to the table and cut the workpiece with a grinder. Then we remove all irregularities and burrs on the grinding machine.
The inner edges of the workpiece can be processed using a drill with a grinding nozzle.
Next, drill holes for attaching a wooden handle. We form the slopes of the blade and sharpen.
At the last stage, it remains only to make a wooden handle for the knife. For this, the author uses several species of wood.
