From the angle grinder, as well as some other available parts, you can make a trimmer.
Of course, he is unlikely to compete with the factory "brothers." But you can mow small grass in a summer cottage with it.
First of all, we disassemble the grinder body and remove the anchor with the gearbox. The anchor itself is not useful, and therefore we cut off the unnecessary part of the shaft.
The main stages of work
So, we still have a part of the armature shaft, which goes into the gear housing. On this "stub" you need to cut the thread. Then we wind the extended nut.
You will also need to work a little with the gearbox shaft. It is necessary to drill a "seat" under it for the swivel, and on the side - to drill a hole to fix it.
The author fastens the plug for the plastic sewer pipe to the gear housing. The end of the stud is attached to the free end of the swivel.
The stud itself is inside the pipe and passes through the bearings. The author makes the trimmer body from scraps of plastic pipes.
As a drive, you can use a screwdriver or drill (both mains and cordless).
