In this review, the author tells in detail and shows how to make a small bending machine for a home workshop or garage.
To do this, you need a piece of channel 120 mm and a building corner. The design itself is quite simple.
If you have the necessary tools (angle grinder, welding machine, drill), everyone can repeat this homemade work.
Preparatory work
First of all, it will be necessary to cut a piece of channel 120 mm 1 meter long. This will be the base of the bending machine.
A corner of 50 * 50 mm should be cut off the same length (it will be used as a movable lever).
To attach the machine to a workbench, the author cuts two corners 120 mm long.
The author decided to make hinges on his own on a lathe. However, they can also be bought ready-made in a store or in the market - they are inexpensive.
The main stages of work
At the next stage, cut out the grooves in the walls of the channel and corner. Then we install the hinges and scald them.
The author welds corners to the ends of the channel for attaching the base to the workbench.
A corner 40 * 40 mm is used as a clamping plate.
On a lathe, the author grinds clamping screws, but they can also be bought at a store.
In the upper part of the screws, the author drills holes into which he then inserts a wrench made of a metal bar. If desired, these parts can be painted.
At the last stage, it remains only to make the clamps and the U-shaped handle from the profile pipe 20x20 mm. And then you can start painting and assembling.
