  • - black pepper - 0.5 tsp;
  • - nutmeg - 2 pinches;
  • - flakes of chili pepper - 0.5 tsp;
  • - coriander - 0.5 tsp

  • Cooking time: 30 minutes.

Recipe:

1. Salt / salted herring must be cut to get two pitted loin pieces. If you save caviar, you can also put it in a jar for pickling.

2. Cut the herring fillet into small oblong slices, at the same time taking out the remaining costal bones with your fingers.

3. Take a suitable jar, put onion rings and slices of garlic on the bottom.

4. Next, shift the pieces of herring with garlic and onion rings, to the very top of the jar or until the herring and onion runs out.

5. Coriander grains before adding to the jar must be crushed in a mortar for spices, the rest of the spices - nutmeg, chili flakes, black pepper can be sent immediately to herring and onions from above.

6. Pour vinegar and olive oil on top, aromatize with lemon slices. You can replace vinegar with lemon juice - squeeze the juice into herring and in this case exclude apple cider vinegar. Shake the jar of pickled fish well and put it in the refrigerator for 2 hours.

After 2 hours, the pickled herring in the jar will be ready!

Bon Appetit!
