The monkey is the patron saint of the approaching 2016 on the Chinese calendar. Therefore, the closer the holidays, the more people rush to the shops for souvenirs depicting this funny animal. And we offer not to rush shopping, because the original do-it-yourself little thing is much more valuable.

Those who have basic crochet skills can easily make such a mischievous and funny monkey. And for those who do not have such skills, this is a great reason to acquire them! To make it easier to use the schemes, we will familiarize ourselves with the conventions.

So, we need Nitron synthetic yarn, 200 grams of bright yellow, 50 grams of lemon and 3 meters of orange flowers, a knitting hook No. 2.5 and a hook for carpet equipment (it’s convenient for them to sew finished parts, but in the absence you can use a needle with a large ear). For stuffing parts, you can use a synthetic winterizer or other synthetic filler.
Head and torso knit together with bright yellow yarn. We begin to knit the head from the top of the head. We collect 6 air loops and knit 7 rows in a spiral, adding loops according to scheme 1A.

The seventh row should contain 48 loops. We knit 10 more rows without adding loops. In this case, we get a bowl-shaped part.

Starting from the eighteenth row, we reduce the loops according to scheme 1B, on which only one sector out of six is shown. In the 23rd row there are 12 loops. We will knit another row. Through an open hole we stuff the head with a padding polyester and proceed to knitting the body.

Since the principle of adding loops for the head and body is the same, we will use the 1 A scheme, starting from the second row. Rows without addition will now be 15, since the body is more elongated than the head. Loops can be reduced according to scheme 1B. When there are 12 loops left, we’ll fill the body, knit another row through one loop and pull the remaining loops with thread to close the hole.

Now with pale yellow threads we will connect the convex muzzle of the monkey. Again, we use the circuit 1A to the sixth row. In the sixth row, 42 loops are obtained. Next, 2 rows without adding, and in the next two rows we decrease the loops similarly to rows 19 and 20 of scheme 1B.

We fill the muzzle with a synthetic winterizer and sew it so that the top of the muzzle is located in the middle of the head.
The monkey’s ears are double, the back side is bright, the front side is pale. We knit both parts according to scheme 2.

We fold the resulting ovals and knit along the edge through the loops of both parts with a bright yellow thread. Sew the ears on the sides of the head.

The hands of the monkey will consist of palms of a pale yellow color and a bright yellow upper part. We knit the palms in a circle, first according to scheme 2A (the number of loops increases), and then according to scheme 2B (the number of loops decreases), on which only half of the loops are shown, the second half is knitted symmetrically.

The upper row of the palm contains 12 loops.

Then we knit 21 rows in a bright yellow thread in a spiral and stuff the part.

There are two such details.
We begin to knit the legs from the foot, which will be in the form of a boot. We make the sole pale yellow, we knit according to scheme 4.

We knit the next row with a bright thread, without adding and introducing a hook through the front wall of the loop. Three more rows in the usual way, and again we knit on the front wall, but now only half the row, starting from the middle of the long side of the foot to the middle of the opposite side. And we knit the same loops in the opposite direction.

Connect the edges and knit a row, through the loop of the edges.

We return to the back of the foot and knit in a circle leg to the top, only 22 rows.

We stuff both legs and sew to the lower part of the body.
For the tail we knit a braid of five loops, in the next row we knit two from each loop, and then we knit 25 rows. Stuff and sew on the back of the body below.
It remains only to complete the finish of the finished monkey. On the head above the muzzle, we knit a semicircle with a pigtail.

Inside the semicircle we place the eyes. We attach a nose to the muzzle. On it, at the bottom, with a thread of orange, we sew a smile with stitches.

Cut orange threads into 7 and 10 centimeters. We hook the long threads around the torso with a crochet for carpet technique, and it looks like a Papuan skirt. Short in the same way fasten on the crown, this is hair.
