When can such a homemade product come in handy? If you often need to use a grinder in your work for processing, for example, long wooden bars, a metal profile.
Firstly, even small grinders are quite heavy (especially if you keep them on weight for a long time). Secondly, holding them in your hands makes it harder to make the surface perfectly flat. In both of these cases, a small roller carriage solves the problem.
Let's get down to making it. We will prepare four bearings on the axles, removing the extra elements of their design. From a narrow metal plate we make two segments of the desired length (depends on the size of the grinder).
At one end of the metal strip, we will drill a hole for the bolt, with which we will attach it to the grinder.
The main stages of work
We measure out two small pieces of the plate and two, in the center of which we will form a longitudinal slot. We weld those with a short slot, and then drill holes at the ends. Insert the axles with rollers (bearings) in them, and weld.
Cut off the excess part of the axis. So, we got two blanks with wheels. We drill a second hole on the metal strips that are attached to the grinder, and weld the bolts there. We weld a small segment from one edge to the second plate connected to the angle grinder (a hole must be made in it first).
We weld the segments with the slots on the plate. If desired, you can process all the elements with paint, after protecting the rollers. We assemble the product using bolts, washers, thumbs and a key.
We adjust the height of the position of the tool, and proceed to grinding. Now the work will argue much faster and better! For more information on the assembly of this device, see the video on the site.
