To make garden tools work better and longer you can modify or make them yourself. The idea of this chopper allows you to use good steel as a cutting element.

To make a chopper knife, you will need a piece of the old band saw blade or something similar. The teeth are cut off from the canvas, and the edge is sharpened on an emery. One of the most difficult moments can be considered drilling holes in this steel, you may have to use a soldered drill.

When the cutting part is ready, you can proceed to the bracket on which it will be located, it will be a slingshot of a bent square welded to a piece of pipe. At the ends of the square horns are made platforms with holes where the knife will be screwed.

The narrow cutting strip differs in design from the standard inventory, working with a homemade chopper is quite convenient due to its sharpness and shape.
