The installation of flyugs made of tin, galvanized sheet or stainless steel on the ends of the ventilation pipes in a private house or garage, as a rule, is carried out by default after installation.

This is not only a decorative element, but also a protective cap that prevents atmospheric precipitation from entering the pipe in the form of rain and snow, as well as various debris. It is very easy to make a vane with an "umbrella" out of tin with your own hands.

Considering the simplicity of the design of this device, no special assembly tool is required. The connection of the main elements of the flyboar (brackets, landing ring and umbrella) is carried out using rivets.

The main stages of work

The first step is to cut a circle with a diameter of 125 mm from a piece of sheet metal or stainless steel. Then, with the help of scissors for metal, we cut out a triangle and make an incision of 2-3 cm from its upper point.

At the next stage of work, we bend the edges with pliers, lay them on top of each other and make a lock. From the trimmings of the profile for the installation of drywall, it is necessary to make the brackets of the L-shaped form - we drill holes and fasten them to the cap of the fly wing using rivets.

Next, from the profile you need to make a seat ring on the pipe. To do this, make a "two-layer" plate and bend it in a semicircle. We connect this part with the “legs” with rivets.

For greater aesthetics, small incisions can be made around the circumference of the “umbrella” and bent through one in different directions. The result was a simple, but very nice, handmade vane made of tin.
