A home-made grinding machine, assembled on the basis of a dremel, will be an excellent assistant in the home workshop. Due to its compact size, it does not take up much space, but at the same time it allows you to perform a wide range of grinding work, from sharpening knives and other pricking and cutting tools to machining various parts and workpieces made of metal or wood.

The main stages of work

It should be noted right away that this design of the grinding machine is not much different from similar home-made options (for example, a grinder from a drill or grinder). The only difference is the type of electric drive. In this case, a dremel is used with speed adjustment of the motor shaft.

The main part of a home-made grinding machine is a block with two rollers, inside of which there are bearings, as well as a support platform and a belt tension mechanism. The drive roller is made of rubber and is connected to the dremel through an adapter.

First, a hole with a diameter of 15 mm is drilled in a rubber roller, after which the adapter itself is pressed inside, which is inserted into the dremel cartridge and is rigidly fixed. Then the final assembly of the whole structure is made and sanding belt is put on the rollers.

Thus, a compact and quite powerful grinding machine was obtained. It is mounted on a table or to a workbench. You can watch the assembly process of a home-made grinding machine based on dremel in this video. Write in the comments what you think about this homemade product.
