The keys to the house, apartment, cottage, car are conveniently stored in one place so that they are always at hand. Moreover, the place itself should be in a conspicuous place so that at the most crucial moment you do not have to run around the house in search of keys.

The best option is a home-made wall-mounted key holder, made with your own hands from the key and the lock from the car seat belt. Still need a piece of board or plywood.

This original key holder can be hung in the hallway of the house or in the corridor of the apartment, and then the keys will always be in a prominent place. Yes, and the little "hooligans" do not reach them.

The main stages of work

So, to make a wall key holder, you will need a key and a seat belt lock. First of all, we clamp the lock with a clamp, and then we cut off the metal tail with a grinder. So do with all the locks.

At the next stage, cut two pieces from the board 25x100 mm (or you can use plywood with a thickness of about 20 mm). We make markings on the blanks, and then cut out the recesses (seats) for the locks from the seat belt using a manual milling cutter. Next, glue two pieces of the board together.

From the "key" from the seat belt will only need a metal part, which is inserted into the lock. We cut off the excess and give the workpiece the shape of a keyring. Then we drill a hole in it.
