To make a pendant and a ring with your own hands, you will need an epoxy resin with a hardener, an oak or other wood, a dye for epoxy and a home-made form that can be "blinded" from ordinary adhesive tape. Finished products can be worn individually or together - they look very cool.
The process of making a pendant and ring
First, we need a form from which it will be easy to remove the workpiece. We will use tape and, for example, a battery from the phone. In addition, we take a piece of plastic, which we will use as a base.
Select the size of the mold taking into account the fact that the workpiece will then need to be turned on an emery and polished. First of all, wrap the battery with the back of the tape, and the top is already sticky. Carefully pull out the battery. Glue the finished form to the plastic on epoxy.
If you want to get the finished product right away without any special processing, then use something appropriate as a mold. Next, we mix the epoxy resin with the hardener - for this you can use a plastic fork and a screwdriver. Add some dye.
Mold casting and decoration processing
We will prepare the slivers, place some of them in the mold and fill it with resin. Add the rest from above. Leave to harden for about a day. After making sure that the epoxy is frozen, remove the tape. We make a sketch and cut the ring and pendant on it, having previously divided the workpiece into two parts.
We drill a hole in a future ring with a pen drill and grind it with a machine or grinder and engraver. Then we apply sandpaper, from the largest to the smallest, and polish the ring with the pendant with a felt circle - we use an electric drill at low speeds.
