Workshop clamps are inexpensive, and anyone can buy them. However, if a large number of scraps of metal have gathered in the garage or in the country, then simple clamps can also be made from them, which are useful for processing and cutting various small parts.

In this case, the author recommends making the simplest clamp from improvised materials - cheap and cheerful, well, and useful.

First of all, you need to take a long bolt, cut off the upper part with a hat, and then grind the end of the rod to the desired diameter. Then it will be necessary to cut off a piece of the square and a strip of metal, in which a cut is made under the cross section of the bar.

The main stages of work

In the sharpened end of the bolt, the author drills a hole into which the ball is pressed into. Then you need to weld the nut to the square bar. A bolt is screwed into the nut, and already to it at an angle of 90 degrees the master welds the plate with a slot.

Next, a piece of smooth reinforcement is welded to the other end of the bolt - and the result is a winch. After that, on the edge of the square bar, it is necessary to weld a piece of the plate, which will act as a fixed clamping jaw.

At the last stage, it is necessary to clean the welds. For details on how to make the simplest clamp from improvised materials with your own hands, see the video on our website.
