Most often, burnt incandescent bulbs are thrown into the trash without hesitation. After all, there is no benefit from them. However, the lamp base itself can be used to make an adapter for an LED spotlight.

Why is this needed? Everything is simple! With this home-made fixture, you can screw the LED spotlight into a regular bulb holder. In this case, there is no need to conduct separate wiring.

The first step is to separate the base from the bulb itself. In addition to the cap, you will also need three pieces of polypropylene pipe, a ring and a tee.

The main stages of work

In the center of the base, it will be necessary to drill a hole with a drill with a diameter of 1 mm. After that, a tinned piece of wire must be inserted into the drilled hole and soldered. The tip of the wire on the outside of the base must be cut off.

Using scissors for metal or conventional side cutters on the side of the base will need to make a small incision. In it you need to insert the second piece of tinned wire, and also solder.

At the last stage, it remains only to put the cap on the polypropylene tee, and let two wires pass inside the pipes. Then the LED spotlight itself is attached. To do this, drill holes in the tubes in advance.

Details on how to make an “adapter” for an LED spotlight from a lamp base can be found in the video on the website.
