In this review, we will consider in detail how to connect a two-gang switch to two lighting circuits in an apartment or a private house. And note that in this case we are talking about installing two switches so that you can control the lighting from different places.

Actually, there is nothing complicated here, however, there are some important nuances that novice electricians and home masters will not hurt to know.

So, let's say you need to connect two two-gang switches to two power sources or to one chandelier, divided into two independent circuits. To do this, you need to install 2 socket boxes in those places where you want to control the lighting.

After that, of course, it will be necessary to install the light sources themselves, and then you can proceed to connect the wires and install the two-gang switches themselves.

The main stages of work

The first step is to connect three ground wires: one from the power cable and two from power supplies. Please note that all cables in this case are three-core with a cross-section of 1.5 square.

After that, in the same way, you will need to connect the three neutral wires coming from the lighting circuits and the power cable. To connect the wires, the master uses terminal blocks (you can use Wago or ordinary screw).

At the last stage of work, it remains only to connect the remaining wires using the terminals and connect the two-gang switches, in accordance with the manufacturer's scheme.
