In this review, the author decided to make a mini smokehouse from a gas (propane) cylinder, which will be an addition to the barbecue. Moreover, the brazier itself is also made of a cylinder, but of a larger volume (50 l).

To make a smokehouse, the author uses a propane cylinder of 27 liters. Also pieces of a square profile pipe will be required.

First of all, it is necessary to unscrew the valve on the cylinder, and then fill it with water. Without this, you can’t start cutting it with a grinder! Then the author cuts off all unnecessary. Next, you need to clean the balloon with a petal circle.

The main stages of work

At the next stage, it will be necessary to make markings, and cut out the door to load firewood. The door is welded on two loops. Welds will need to be cleaned with a grinder.

To connect two cylinders, the author uses a profile pipe 100 * 100 mm. It is necessary to make a marking and cut two holes for the pipe. Then the author welds the profile pipe first to a small cylinder, and then to the barbecue.

On the other side of the grill, a car welds another piece of a profile pipe 60 * 60 mm about 50 cm long (but it can be longer).

Then it remains only to paint a small cylinder (27 l) with heat-resistant matte paint. For details on how to make a smokehouse with your own hands, see the video on our website.
