From unnecessary spare parts from an old bicycle (they can be found on a metal reception or, for example, in a neighbor’s garage), you can make a large scooter. To make it, you will need a front fork, a steering wheel and two wheels of different diameters.
The frame for the scooter should be strong and powerful enough so as not to bend under the weight of an adult, since this scooter is focused primarily on adults. To make the frame, the author uses a piece of thick metal round pipe.
The first thing we do is cut a piece of pipe from which we need to make the frame. The author gives the workpiece the desired shape on a pipe bending machine. It is also necessary to cut off two more pieces of pipe of a smaller diameter, from which the second part of the frame and the rear fork will be made.
The main stages of work
The author welds a piece of a round pipe to the frame, into which he inserts the front fork from the bicycle. Then you will need to weld the two remaining pipes.
The author welds a pair of fastenings for the wheel hub to the rear fork of the frame. You also need to weld three plates, to which the board will then be screwed. They need to drill two holes.
At the next stage, the scooter frame must be primed and painted. Then the author cuts a piece of the board, which is screwed to the plates. The foot platform can be varnished.
Then you can already start assembling the scooter itself. We fasten the steering wheel and put two wheels: the front is large, the rear is smaller.
