Almost every home workshop has clamps, and the most popular ones are F-shaped. But they are not suitable for all works. For example, to fix a part or workpiece that lie closer to the middle of the table, they will not work with their help.

However, this problem can be solved by making a simple extension cord with a clamp. In this case, the author makes it of wood, but if desired, you can make metal.

The first step is to cut the workpieces - these are wooden planks of different lengths. Of these, the author glued three parts, which then need to be joined together (the connection must be movable).

The main stages of work

The next step is to make a clamp. To do this, the master uses a hairpin and wood blanks, from which you need to make a clamping "nickle" and a handle.

Next, you need to process all the details on a grinding machine or grinder, giving them the desired shape. And after that, the master starts assembling the structure.

First, it will be necessary to cut off a part of the metal rail of the F-shaped clamp. To extend the life of a makeshift extension cord, it is advisable to treat wooden parts with mineral oil or wax. Now the tool is fully operational.

Details on how to make an "extension cord" for the F-shaped clamp can be found in the video on our website.
