When drilling ceramic tiles with a crown, a lot of dust is formed. In order to make the drilling process as comfortable as possible, the author proposes to make a simple dust extraction.

The dust extraction design is very simple, and there is no difficulty in making it. And homemade materials are also very easy to find.

To make a dust extraction, the author uses a piece of plastic sewer pipe and a large diameter plastic plug.

The main stages of work

On the side of the plug, you will need to drill a hole for the nozzle with the hose of the vacuum cleaner. In the upper part, the master cuts a hole with a ballerina. Then, with the help of a grinder, you need to cut off the lower part of the plug.

In the next step, it will be necessary to cut a small piece from the plastic pipe, which should be smaller in diameter than the plug.

We drill three holes in the plug, and then fasten a previously cut piece of plastic pipe onto the screws.

After that, the author cuts off two pieces of rubber and glues them to the “Moment” glue to the bottom of the plug. This is necessary so that the dust extraction does not slip on the tile, as well as for better tightness.

That, in fact, is all the work. We connect the nozzle from the vacuum cleaner, install the dust extraction in the right place on the surface of the tile, and you can drill a hole. Now there will be no dust.
