The device for laying heavy sand-cement blocks

In this review, the author shows how to make a simple adaptation that is useful in the process of carrying and laying heavy sand cement blocks.

And first of all, it will be necessary to cut the metal blanks that will be needed in the manufacturing process of this device.

Necessary materials:

  • nuts with a diameter of 8 mm - 8 pieces;
  • 20 mm M8 screws - 4 pcs.;
  • a half-inch piece of pipe 600 mm long;
  • threaded rod 250 mm long;
  • 4 pieces of a strip 30 * 5 mm long 220 mm;
  • 4 pieces of a strip 30 * 5 mm 110 mm long;
  • 4 pieces of a strip 30 * 5 mm 65 mm long;
  • four brackets with holes.

The main stages of work

From pieces of a metal strip 220 mm and 110 mm long, the author welds four L-shaped parts. Then four pieces of a strip of 65 mm in length must be welded to the brackets with holes.

Along the edges of the L-shaped parts, the author welds four more squares from the same strip of metal 30 * 5 mm, which will hold the sand-cement blocks.

The brackets themselves are put on a piece of a half-inch pipe (it acts as a handle). We drill holes in the strips, and connect the parts together using studs, screws and nuts.
