In this review, the author shows in detail how to make a universal mechanical press for the garage and home workshop.

With its help, it is possible to extrude and press bearings into the landing "nests", as well as remove them from the motor shaft.

First you need two pipes: диаметром and 1 inch in diameter. They are good because the three-quarter pipe fits snugly into the inch, with minimal backlash.

First of all, it is necessary to cut two pieces of 50 mm long from an inch pipe.

The protruding welding seam inside the workpieces must be removed using a round metal file.

The main stages of work

At the next stage, it is necessary to cut two workpieces 300 mm long from a three-quarter pipe.

The author also cuts a piece of a plate 100 mm wide. To it it will be necessary to weld the racks from the pipe sections.

Next, cut a piece of the profile pipe 30x30 mm (it will be used as a jumper). In the center of the workpiece, drill a hole with a diameter of 20 mm.

From the threaded rod M20, the author cuts off a workpiece with a length of 320 mm. At the end of the screw we wind two nuts and weld them together.

A 16 mm diameter hole will need to be drilled between the two nuts.

On the opposite side of the screw (at the end), a hole is also drilled and an M6 thread is cut.

We put a jumper from the profile pipe on the screw, and then fix it with a nut. The nut itself must be welded to the profile.

At the last stage, we cut another workpiece from the profile pipe 30x30 mm - the crossbar, which must be welded to the bushings. Then we weld a screw and two nuts at the edges to the crossbar.
