In this review, the author makes a catchy mole cat with his own hands. However, in fact, this is a universal trap, which is suitable not only for moles, but also for rats or mice.
For the manufacture of traps, the author uses a U-shaped mounting profile of 50 * 50 mm, rivets, a piece of sheet metal and wire.
First of all, we connect together two pieces of a U-shaped profile, drill along the edges of the hole, and fix it with rivets.
The main stages of work
From a piece of sheet metal, the author cuts out a square from which he then makes a door. For one trap, you need to make two doors, since there are two entrances.
Then the doors are installed inside the trap. A piece of thick wire is used for its fastening. And the rivets in this case act as limiters - that is, the doors open only inward.
A mole trap is installed as easy as it is. First you will need to dig a trench in the place where an underground tunnel passes at the mole.
Then we set a trap and sprinkle it with earth. In the hole on top, you can insert a piece of wire, which will work as a signaling device.
