In this review, the author shows how to make a wing bolt with your own hands in literally 15-20 minutes.

To do this, you need an ordinary bolt of the diameter you need and HDPE (high density polyethylene) plastic.

As a source of such plastic, you can use caps from plastic bottles or empty containers for household chemicals.

You will also need to make a shape: round, oval, or maybe triangular. In this case, the shape of the lamb can be any one you like best.

The author, for example, uses an old bearing. Inside it has a smooth round hole, which will serve as a form for the lamb.

The main stages of work

Using a building hair dryer, the author heats the plastic to a temperature of 200 degrees so that it becomes soft. The form must also be warmed up.

At the next stage, the softened plastic is pressed into the hole in the bearing. We cannot do without improvised means - in this case, the author uses an old knife and file.

Then we take a bolt, install it in the middle, then press it. If the plastic has “grabbed”, we heat it with a hairdryer.

After the bolt has been pressed in, it is necessary to wait approximately 5-7 minutes, and we already take out the wing bolt from the mold.

Then it remains only to process the finished product. To do this, the author inserts a bolt into the drill chuck and processes the plastic with sandpaper.
