Creating stained-glass windows is a very exciting process for both children and adults. As a rule, special stained glass paints and contours are used for stained glass. However, such paints can be made by yourself. Of course, they will not be suitable for painting dishes, but with such stained-glass windows you can decorate a mirror or a window for the holidays and not only. And most importantly - the ingredients for creating paint for stained glass with your own hands will probably be found in your home.
Materials:
• Food coloring, acrylic paint or gel pens.
• Brush.
• File.
• PVA glue.
• Desired pattern.
First, prepare a drawing. We print or draw the selected motive and place the sheet with the picture under the file. To create paints, we need to choose one of the dye options: gel pens, acrylic paints or food colors. Your choice will not affect the quality of the stained-glass window, only the brightness and color scheme. In this example, acrylic paints are used. Pour 2 teaspoons into a small container and squeeze out the paint. Mix the mixture. For each color we create a separate mixture, but we do it in stages. In process of work and drying of a paint of the past colors.

Apply paint with a brush to the selected area of the picture. Paint should be applied in a thick layer, because after drying it will become much thinner. This should be taken into account to prevent deformation of the picture. If the drawing you have chosen goes without outlines, the principle of operation is as follows: we draw all the details of the same color, wait at least 4 hours, check if the paint has dried out and only then we paint with the second color and by this principle we make the whole drawing. This method is not bad, but it will take a lot of time. With contours, things will go faster: stage 1, draw all the contours, wait until the paint dries completely and then paint over the details with all the other colors of the paint.

Here is the picture before the paint dries:

But such she becomes after a day:

Finished work can be transferred to the surface of a mirror or glass. To do this: carefully remove the picture from the file and apply it to the skim surface with the side that was on the file.
