Hello, I can tell you today about creating a picture from damaged or unnecessary CDs and DVDs. These unusual paintings turn out to be very beautiful - they sparkle and shimmer with all the colors of the rainbow. But compiling such pictures is not easy: the discs are best cut with good scissors, but the discs are so hard that after work the new and sharp scissors become dull, and the recordable discs, unlike the factory ones, fly apart, stratifying into pieces when carving.

If you want to make a similar picture, you will need:
- Two laser discs (CD and DVD);
- The basis for the panel of hard cardboard;
- Ruler, pencil, glue, adhesive tape, scissors, thread;
- A white sheet of paper or cardboard;
- Hard cardboard for the frame;
- Self-adhesive PVC film.
Take the necessary tools for the first part of the work.

First, we glue two cardboard sheets taken to make the basis of the picture, and then a white cardboard sheet on top, and we trim the composition from all sides:

On the back of the canvas we make a sample of the picture from the cut out paper elements and designate them like this:
Two pigeons - G 1 and G 2;
Sun - C;
Leaves (nine pieces) - L 1, L 2, L 3, L 4 ... L 9;
Branches - In 1 and In 2.
Then we redraw this sample on a separate sheet of paper, and from it, gradually onto the canvas.

Having transferred the image to the canvas, we erase its elements during filling with mosaic figures, so that the pencil is barely visible. And then we take laser disks and cut them into pieces of different sizes, triangles and quadrangles.

The purple hue has a DVD disc, which was recordable with us. It scattered into pieces when carving, and we stuck together each particle, as a result of which, on one side, a layer coated with glue, shimmering with different colors of the rainbow, becomes less visible and the mosaic “stone” dullly sparkles.

We had a factory CD. I tried to cut the discs with wire cutters, but they did not fit the thread — the wheels cracked from them.

Now we begin to create a frame, take a PVC film and four pieces of cardboard.

We glue the cardboard with tape and wrap it with a PVC film that mimics a wooden panel:

At the back we wrap the picture with PVC - film and form a loop, which our picture will hold on to:

That's it, our mosaic picture from the disks is ready. The idea to make it came to us when one of the bad disks was found, broken into small pieces, and with its fragments resembled a distorted star. Now this picture from old disks decorates the interior in our living room ...
Sincerely, Vorobyov Dinara.
