Very soon New Year will come - everyone’s favorite holiday, regardless of age. Of course, on the eve of a magical night, we are in a special mood. We are happy to draw up a festive menu, a list of guests and, of course, decorate the house. There are enough decorative elements on store shelves, but what could be better than DIY Christmas decorations. Today we offer you to sew a soft Christmas tree from the remnants of fabric that can be found in every home. So let's get started.
For work you will need:
  • Flaps of soft dark blue fabric.
  • The symbol of the coming year is the Blue Goat, then we will respect the mistress of the year - we will use her favorite color for crafts.
  • Scissors.
  • Threads in tone.
  • Snowflakes, beads, bugles for the decor of our Christmas tree.
  • We take tailor's chalk or a dry remnant of soap and draw half of our future Christmas tree.
  • Fold the fabric in half so that our drawing does not go beyond the edges of the lower layer. We fasten both layers of fabric with pins so that they do not move.

Next, carefully cut our product along the contour. After that, remove the pins, straighten the workpiece and fix it on the second piece of material to duplicate it. Now it is necessary to fasten both blanks with their faces to each other. We fasten them with pins along the main contours so that our Christmas trees do not move during the stitching process.

Getting to the main part - stitching parts on a sewing machine. To do this, I chose the sewing seam mode, but if your machine is not equipped with such a function, you can safely use a zigzag seam or another, more familiar to you. We processed the entire workpiece in such a way, not forgetting to leave a hole so that the Christmas tree could be turned out. I left a hole in the twig. We turn the tree to the front side.

Next, it’s up to the stuff. In order not to waste money on materials, you can use ordinary cotton wool and even unnecessary rags. After filling the toy, gently manually sew the hole through which we stuffed our craft. The time has come to decorate our beauty. Here you can dream up. Everything at hand will do for the decoration of the Christmas tree. I decided to decorate her with soft snowflakes and shiny beads from an old daughter’s bracelet. We do this with a glue gun or sew.

That's what we got. For the eyelet, you can use a narrow satin ribbon. In this case, a blue hue. We cut the tape of the desired length and with the help of a needle and thread we fix our loop on the craft itself. That's all! Our forest beauty is ready to take pride of place among New Year's souvenirs and crafts decorating your home!
