If we consider key chains, then they are often talismans that should bring good luck or a reminder of some pleasant event in the past. In addition, such a keychain brings practical benefits - the keys are easier to find in the bag, and the keys with the keychain are less likely to be lost.
Materials and tools:
• viscose napkin;
• threads;
• paper, felt-tip pen;
• cotton wool;
• beads (white and black);
• scissors.
1. First we make a pattern for a horse. On paper, with a felt-tip pen, draw the figure of a fairytale horse. It consists of a head and a body, legs do not draw.
2. Cut the template out of paper, circle on a napkin. In this pattern, do not add to the sewing allowances. We make two such details.
3. Cut out the patterns of the horse from a viscose napkin and proceed to stitching. For sewing, choose contrasting threads. In the presented article for stitching a yellow horse, turquoise threads were taken.
4. Sew parts manually. Gently connect the seam "over the edge". We make sure that the edges of the parts are stitched evenly.
5. But we do not flash it to the end, we leave an un sewn place (one or two centimeters) to fill the horse. Do not cut the thread!
6. Fill the stitched figure. For filling, you can use ordinary medical cotton wool or more modern fillers: synthetic winterizer, holofiber or other materials. We’re stuffing the horse not tight, the figure should remain a little flat. We sew a seam “over the edge” of the filling place.
7. Now proceed to the manufacture of horse legs. We craft them from threads and beads. We string a bead on a thread. We hook this thread over an already sewn seam “over the edge”, cut the thread. We put a bead on the trimmed edge and tie a thread.
8. We do front legs and back.
9. In the same way, we make a tail out of threads: we hook a few threads onto the seam, but we tie not all at once to the knot, but two at a time. Threads can be of different lengths.
10. We do the mane, as well as the tail. The threads for mane and tail are about the same in length. But a horse can have either a long or short mane or tail.
11. Now revive the horse. Sew from small black beads to the eyes (can be glued with strong fixation glue).
12. The horse is ready. Scissors need to trim the length of the strands in the tail and mane. Since we are making a keychain, we attach a metal ring to the figure on top. Carefully make a puncture between the horse’s ears and insert the ring.
13. The made keychain. The horse is attached to the keys to the house.
This keychain from a viscose napkin is a simple, but at the same time original craft. And in the year of the Horse this is especially true!
