The time for infusion of a mixture of liquid wallpaper takes more than 8 hours and during this time you can have time to prepare the walls in the room.
Step number 1. Preparation of liquid wallpaper.
The contents of the bag are poured into a plastic container and filled with warm water (40-50 degrees). The mixture is thoroughly mixed and left to infuse for the time specified in the instructions (about 8 hours). Each portion of wallpaper is prepared separately.
Step number 2. Surface preparation.
Old walls are removed from the walls and ceiling. The surfaces are well cleaned, large irregularities are putty, metal objects are removed or painted over with alkyd paint. The cleaned surfaces are primed with a mixture of silica sand. Such a primer creates a rough surface and excellent adhesion of liquid wallpaper to surfaces. Quartz primer is applied by roller. Hard-to-reach spots are painted over with a brush.
Step number 3. Application of liquid wallpaper.
Before applying liquid wallpaper, the prepared mixture is thoroughly mixed.
Application of the mixture is best started from the corners. First, plastic (or foam) stitching is performed on the inner and outer corners, then the mixture is applied to the rest of the area. Dostka is held at an angle of 10-15 degrees. The thickness of the applied layer should not exceed 1-2 millimeters.
The drying time of the surfaces is 24-48 hours, depending on the room temperature. Temperature above 25 degrees and the presence of a draft significantly accelerates the drying process of walls and ceilings.
